Show synopses:

Picasso at the Lapin Agile
by Steve Martin

Directed by Adam Arterbridge

It's the dawn of the twentieth century, and Paris is the place to be for great thinkers on the rise.  Against the backdrop of a fashionable saloon, witness an historic (and fictional) meeting between Pablo Picasso and a young Albert Einstein.  Two men, each on the verge of greatness, spend an evening matching wit and talent along with a colorful variety of other patrons.  A highbrow/lowbrow/everybrow comedy from the mind of Steve Martin (yes, that Steve Martin).

Roles available for 7 men (age range: 20's-60's) and 4 women (age range: 20's-40's).

Production dates:  March 20, 21, 27, 28, & 29

The Toby Show

Directed by Ben Martin

A classic American “tent theatre-style” production paying homage to the touring productions that entertained rural communities throughout the early 20th century.  Toby, the wily country bumpkin, outwits the city-slickers in an uproarious melodrama with vaudevillian interludes.  Performed as part of Truly 150, Lee's Summit's sesquicentennial celebration.  The show is being produced outdoors as part of an old fashioned county fair environment at Paradise Park.  We will be performing in the pavilion.

Roles available for a minimum of 4 men and 3 women with several vaudevillian entertainer positions open during the interludes

Production dates: May 21 (1 show), 22 (2 shows), 23 (2 shows).  Please note this is Memorial Day Weekend.
